In John’s Gospel, today, I found myself reflecting on the reactions of Jesus’ disciples. Mary of Magdala, even in her state of despair and darkness, seems to be in search of Jesus as she goes to the tomb. When she finds the tomb empty, confusion sets in. When she tells the other disciples, they too, seek. The disciples seeking out Jesus all point to them acting on their faith even when they didn’t understand. We can all act on our faith by seeking Jesus in our times of darkness, despair and confusion. We can seek Jesus in our joy and successes. When we have open hearts in our seeking, just like the disciples, we can truly believe! In our belief, we can be transformed and receive new life! Let us be an Easter people and rejoice in the Resurrection of Jesus.
Alleluia, Jesus is Risen!
